Stonehaven Darts League Constitution - 2019/20
- The name of the association shall be called the "Stonehaven & District Darts League".
- The object of Stonehaven & District Darts League is to promote darts locally and provide a platform for players to play and enjoy their darts.
- To raise funds for Stonehaven & District Darts League to guarantee its continued success and ensure it remains solvent from year to year.
- The annual fee for each team's membership will be set at the AGM and will include both league and team knockout competitions. Players fees for each competition night will also be set at the AGM. Any team failing to pay their fees shall cease to be a member.
- The committee of Stonehaven & District Darts League shall consist of a minimum of three elected officials to be known as the Executive Committee, namely Chairperson, Treasurer and Secretary. Additional positions can be elected onto or removed from the Executive Committee. All Executive Committee officials to be elected annually at the AGM. The rest of the League committee to be made up of one representative from each League team registered with the League.
- At all meetings the Chairperson shall be the Chairman, and in their absence the meeting will elect a Chairman.
- The Treasurer shall control the funds of Stonehaven & District Darts League in conjunction with another Executive Committee member. He/She will bank all monies and produce the appropriate financial statements at League meetings. No monies will be withdrawn without the signatures of the two Executive Committee members.
- The AGM shall be held once per year and only members of the previous League season shall be eligible to vote at said AGM with each team present given one vote each for any item requiring a vote.
- Competitions run by Stonehaven & District Darts League shall be open to all registered players of the League.
- Tornaments and competitions run by Stonehaven & District Darts League shall be governed by the playing rules laid down by the said League.
- Any disputes shall be referred to the Secretary in writing and if he/she is unable to resolve the matter suitably in accordance with the rules, then the matter shall rest in the hands of the Executive Committee, the League Commottee or a majority of the League Committee available. Any team directly involved in a dispute will not be permitted to be part of the Committee making a decision.
- All decisions by the Executive/League Committee are final. If there is a tie in any voting power whatever, the Chairperson of Stonehaven & District Darts League shall have the casting vote, which shall be binding on the decision.
- All new applicants to join the League can be heard vocally or read at the Annual General meeting.
- No alterations to the constitution shall be made except at the AGM. Written notice of any proposed amendments must be sent to the Secretary at least fourteen days prior to the AGM, and be seconded by another team.
